Should Paki artists be allowed in India?

Recently read a news article stating the famous Pakistani Standup comedian Shakeel Siddiqui (of Comedy Circus Fame) was forced to return to Pakistan because MNS activists confronted him. (Source: http://www.ndtv.com/convergence/ndtv/story.aspx?id=NEWEN20090080243)

So, has what happened right? Just because a “few” elements in Pakistan are trying to terrorize India should we hold the entire nation responsible?

In my opinion, YES!

If some terrorism is harboring in one’s country, then who is responsible for eradicating it? The government. And how is the government elected in that country – By the people of that country. So, if the government is not doing anything against it, then who is responsible for electing them and encouraging them to follow their existing policies? The people of the country. India has been so far unable to twist Pakistan’s arm whether it’s by applying International Pressure or giving a mild threat of war. So, why not let the People of Pakistan of people put pressure on the government to act against its “own” “stateless actors”. Cant people like Shakeel stand up and influence the opinion of his country saying “Enough is enough” and high time the government should act. Can’t these people of Pakistan raise their voices and make government more accountable. If not them, then who else will ask for the accountability? Or is it that people in Pakistan don’t care because they are in agreement with all the terrorism that is happening. All that I know is the terrorists in Mumbai came from Pakistan. So, everyone in Pakistan should hold responsibility for the same.

Personally, I have nothing against Shakeel but I do have everything against a silent Shakeel who can’t speak up against terrorism. He can stand in front of Indian TV and make fun of who’s who but he can’t stand against his own country’s TV and say be serious about acting against terrorism.

We need to put pressure on Pakistan to act fast or it will be isolated by the Indian community. We respect Pakistani people only if they respect India, its integrity and its peace. Else to hell with them!!
